Holy cow, Perc! If I had this thrown at me in order to graduate college (66 years ago) I'd still be chasing a diploma! You have become the academic taskmaster we'll all learn to avoid.
You must be feeling a lot better ??!! stu |
tower.
I wish I could say I am feeling better. On the way to Physio in 15 minutes. I am counting on you to answer one of the questions. :) |
All over my head - especially the bridge question - but with a Novy in the title I'd guess Zagreb?
|
Nope...but you will get one of them PalenQ.
|
sorry you're not a lot better these days, Perc. Hoping you will soon.
Pal is right on one thing, it has to be in a Slavic country with Novy (new)....there's always a "novy " something or other in any Slavic country, but my guess is Poland is out though I haven't been there since 2002. So it's got to be in the former Yugoslavia, the new Czech Rep., or the new Slovakia. Albania can't afford it. That would be Prague or Bratislvava...not Zagreb. I don't remember seeing a big bridge or wide river in Zagreb on my past recent visit...but the Danube (Duna) is mighty broad in Bratislava. Again I have not been there since the "split" with CZ in '93, though I was in Eastern Slovakia in 2004..but that's my final guess..take it or leave it Perc. |
Was in Bratislava about five yeara ago and walked across a bridge but do not remember any bridge like that - maybe has been modified since then?
|
Hi Percy. I hope you are ok. Can't answer any of the questions, but just noticed your forum photo. Is that your granddaughter? She is really adorable.

OK, I cheated a bit so that I could answer one question.
#3 Joseph Manes. He painted the astronomical clock face. |
4. - I too guess Bratislava - I remember there was a bridge and a revolving restaurant so it fits the bill.
i'm completely clueless about the rest, even no 3 and I've been to Prague. |
