We had a 4 year old with us in France last year. He was at the "I'll talk about anything" stage, and spent hours looking out the window as we drove through the countryside chanting "sweetcorn, sweetcorn, sweetcorn£ (interspersed only now and again with "trees and bushes, trees and bushes, trees and bushes")

I recommend against.

Just returned from Kuala Lumpur where they sell cups of corn at kiosks just about everywhere. I've also seen it listed as a pizza topping in Singapore and here in Indonesia they're quite proud of their corn drink, which is similar to watery creamed corn. Definitely an acquired taste.

Maybe all those European countries ship their corn to SE Asia!
