europe In January

Hi All ,

I have just returned from trip to Barcelona (already been to london too ) .
I am living in frankfurt . What would be the good place to visit in January in Europe.
Cant go to anywhere that is too cold that here .

Thank you for your ideas :)

Try the Canary Islands or Madeira for a bit of sun in a European winter.

Depends on your definition of not "too cold". Look at the southern parts of Italy, Sicily, Greece or perhaps a return to Spain - there's a good chance it will be mild in those locations but not "hot".

I was in Sevilla and Granada in January, 2000. It was quite pleasant, especially compared to where I live in eastern Washington.

None of the countries that you have listed this question under. If this is your criteria then just head to the southern hemisphere. It will be summer there.

If you want less cold - as in temps in the 50s try southern Spain or Sicily.

If you want summer/beach weather you need to go to a different continent.

Even in southern Spain day time temps can drop alarming low. I would avoid.

In southern Spain it is obviously cold in the mountains - since they have snow/skiing.

But these are really the only places with an average that is fairly warm. Naturally - there is no guarantee for any specific day more than a day or two in adance.
