Europe for 4 days

Hi everybody,

I am from India and will be traveling to the US in the summer of 2016. looking for a brief stopover in ONE or maximum two countries in Europe. Inexpensive. Would love some suggestions...P.S. Have already seen London and Paris. So somewhere else please.

Many thanks

nick

4 days, is only 3 nights. I'd look at the easy to get to such as Rome or Amsterdam. Both have more than enough to do for that time.

I would head for Amsterdam is the flights allow (you really need to check this part out). The weather is generally better than Rome, the airport is much less time-consuming and user friendly and there are tons of things to see/do in a unique city.

Neither Rome or Amsterdam is particularly inexpensive, but if that is where the cheapest flights go, that might make up for the difference. Coming from India, you might not mind summertime temps in Rome. And it is not hot every day in summer in Rome.

You probably should work this out by finding out first what would be the least expensive routing your US destination in terms of air fares

Inexpensive means forget western Europe.
Go to Budapest or Prague or Sofia or Krakow.

It is all relative (since I live in Northern Italy), but I don't think Munich is expensive. Or Lisbon. Also, if one simply flied to the capital cities but then goes just beyond them in Italy, one often finds bargains -- even in Northern Italy. A flight to Milan or Venice can be a gateway to a much cheaper location a short train ride away. For instance, if you fly to Venice or Milan, and but sleep in Padova or Vicenza, it's very affordable. But that presume your plane flight is already cheaper than going to Rome or Amsterdam.

Which cities have the best connections and flights for you from your departure city and where you wish to fly in the US?
