Europe Event Calendar

By request I have created a calendar for people to enter in festivals, events, special occasions for Europe. Please enter these events so that everyone can be aware of what is scheduled in this regard for the various countries in Europe. If there is another category that I should add then let me know. You can add and edit all entries however I am keeping administrator rights to keeps things orderly. If you need help let me know. Use the category field which has default colors. The pop up field allows you to put in additional info that will pop up when you click on that entry. Enjoy!

Great, thanks! A while ago, I tried starting a thread on upcoming Paris events, but a calendar like this makes more sense.

How about color coding by countries or regions?

BillT Aug 30th, 2008 06:32 AM

Hmmmm color coding by countries might be good- let me see what I can come up with.

Fantastic Bill! Thanks a million. You may have started something that could change the face of Fodor's Europe board.

BillT Aug 30th, 2008 06:39 AM

Ok I have added colors for a number of countries in Europe (better idea than my original one).

Two things:

1. Just to get into the spirit of things I just put in two festivals that I'll actually be attending in the next 30 days: The Volto Santo Festival in Lucca (Italy) and the Oktoberfest in Munich (Germany - duh).

2. Remember, a LOT of us guys are color blind, so if you insist on using colors, please consider using very basic ones and don't go with colors like magenta and chartreuse and.... I don't even know what they ARE (when I was a kid I only had Crayola's 8-crayon box; my sister had the 64-crayon box....:-( )! hahaha

Hi - I want to add All Saint's Day for Nov 1st for Portugal. You don't have a separate color for Portugal, which should I use?

Great idea Bill. I'm trying to add an event. I'm using Vista and have turned off the pop up blocker. However I'm still not getting the pop up field, doh! Anyway i'm trying to add

Err, woops. As I was writing, I'm trying to add the patio festival in Cordoba - http://www.andalucia.com/cities/cordoba/patios.htm. In 2008 it ran from the 7th to the 18th of May. So in 2009 I'll assume the same dates.
