Europe by Air $99 flight pass--your experience

The vouchers are obviously a good deal on the route I am potentially looking at (Paris to Vilnius). How much did you have to pay in taxes when you got to the airport? I want to know how much this adds to the price. Also, did you have a hassle with arrangements at the tickert counter, or did things go smoothly as if you had booked a regular ticket? Thanks.

Thanks. It's a great link. Tickets for when I want to go are still much cheaper this way than regular fare searches. But, I'd still like to know about the taxes. No one covered that in the link. I think the web-site said they vary from about $5 to $20. I don't know if that means landing fees of what.

Hi, actually julies, I had written in the other link that the taxes are dependent on the airport. I believe that if you call Europebyair, they can probably give you an estimate. Not sure what the taxes are exactly either, but when I used the coupons two years ago, I had to pay taxes before the coupons could be validated.

By the way, if you can find out which airlines fly the routes you're interested in, you could try with that airline directly. People here have pointed out that the fares can be cheaper this way. However, with the Euro being at a premium, I suspect that the difference is not great, and Europebyair can be more flexible in terms of changes, I think.
