Euronight train Paris-Venice
Is someone familiar with the sleeping accommodations on this train (number 221, I believe)? Are there rooms with private toilet?

Hi F,
I can't recall if there was a toilet under the sink. However, I looked up the accomadations a www.sncf.com. It says Un grand compartiment à deux lits. Le lit supérieur est rehaussé afin d'offrir plus de confort. Vous voyagerez ensemble dans une même cabine qui vous sera exclusivement réservée. which my machine translation turned into A big compartment to two beds. The superior bed is elevated in order to offer more comfort. You will travel together in a same **** telephone booth **** that exclusively will have reserved you. :) ((I)) |
There are new 'Excelsior' sleeping cars which have compartments with a shower and toilet. These are obviously more expensive than the traditional sleeping compartments which just have wash basins. There are descriptions and pictures on www.seat61.com.

Hi Frederic, When are you going? I'm not familiar with the sleeper trains, but I tried to book a private compartment with a toilet on this train and it was completely sold out, a month in advance. We ended up booking a private compartment on the Paris to Milan train, and then will be changing in Milan to go to Venice. Not sure if we have the toilet or not, find out when we get there I guess. We leave in 4 days......yeeha!
