Euro value
I really feel like a total goof to be asking this, because a euro is a euro, but I have several Eire Euros left from my Irish trip. They do say Eire. My question,(sorry) can I use these in other Euro countries? This was my first trip to Europe since the Euro appeared. Does each country have their own and do they have to be changed to be used in another country?

The euro is legal tender in the euro-zone (Ireland, Italy, Germany, France, etc). Doesn't matter where the originating country is. Your Irish euros can be used in any other euro country.

Every country has an own design for the EURO-coins (one side of the coin, the other is the same), but they are accepted in all EURO-countries.
Sometimes you can run into problems, with very small amounts (1 Euro-cent, 2 Euro-cent), as not all countries have issued a coin for the small amounts. |
If you are from the United States, it is the same as our state quarters... They are all a quarter, and can be used in any state, but it gives some amount of personalization...
