OK - some are not so trivial but... back by popular demand from Stateside and all over tjhe U.K. and Europe!

1- This large London open area is called XXXXXXXX XXXXX and abuts the main rail line from Padington to The West and East Acton on the west side and adjacent to it is one of H M Prisons of the same name as the park.

2- The Ko (with two dots above the o) is a fashionable street in which German city?

3- A few miles outside Cork is this world-famous castle?

3- Bunol, Spain (near Valencia) stages this popular but messy festival on the last Wednesday of Augustr each year.

4- This hilly section of Lisbon is known for its hill-climbing trams?

5- What are the four official languages of Switzerland?

6- This large Swiss department store chain still does not sell alcohol (unless changed in the last few years)

7- Europe's highest sand dune - at 100 metres high - is located where (in general).

8- It's 874 miles for bike racers between this most southernly part of England and its most northerly (well the longest transveral anyway) - but the question is between which two placds do these bike racers race?

9- In France when you see a sign "Paris 275 km" what point in Paris is always the exact starting point for 0? (Where are distances to Paris all measured from?

10 - On Lake Geneva opposite Lausanne this spiffy French resort has a name that is known world-wide for something it produces?

If you don't have the time to write the "ö" (find the character set!) just write "oe". Actually, in German, the "oe" was the original way to write it. Gradually, the "e" was written on top of the "o" and eventually, the "e" was reduced to two dots.

Hence, "Koenigsallee" is a correct way to write "Königsallee" and "Duesseldorf" is equally correct as "Düsseldorf". BTW, the Düssel is a small creek that originates in Wülfrath.

Ko-dependent in Ko-ln.

BTW: Migros bought the Denner stores chain (8 years ago). Denner makes about half of it's turnover (3.5 billion USD) with the sale of alcoholic beverages (wine, beer, spirits).

just round the corner from the Scrubs used to be a weird government building called the Bromyard, and nearby was a collection of nissan huts aka Acton Crown Court.

No 8 should be Lizard Point (most southerly point in England) to Berwick (most northerly town in England) but that's only 545 miles.

You're from the UK and should know better. Where was Britain mentioned in the original question?

it's not I that should know better but PalenQ - he has made the usual american's error of using "England" when he means Britain - how else to explain the reference to 874 miles?
