Euro Travel Quiz # 34 - Burial Places and Tombs!

1- Where are Marie-Antoinette and hubbie King Louis XVI buried now? Where were they buried until 1815 when their alleged bodies were reburied in this famous place.

2- Westminster Abbey - burial place of not only monarchs but all kinds of famous Brits, espeically writers, artists, etc. Name 3 non-royals enterred now in Westminster Abbey>

3- Where is Shakespeare buried?

4- Where would you find the tomb of Winston Churchill?

5- Where is Charlemagne's grave - allegedly at least?

6- The Pantheon in Paris is a veritable pantheon of graves of famous French folk - name at least three person buried here.

9- Paris' Pere Lachaise Cemetery has graves of many famous folk, including some who were not even French. Whose grave in Pere Lachaise was a favorite of women's afections (ironically!) and they would put on red lipstick and leave their kiss marks on his tomb, which as a result a few years back was put behind a glass wall to preserve its dignity?

10 - His grave in Pere Lachaise Cemetery attracts legions of women hoping to marry within a year by doing what to the bronze life-like copy of his body leaving a certain body area bright and shiny!

11- This American's grave in Pere Lachaise draws scores of devotees of his music who leave maudlin messages (graffiti) and things like whisky bottles on it - a guard now is supposed to patrol the grave site to keep a modium of decorum yet folks still come there to party down.

12- Where is Karl-Marx buried?

13 - Where will you be buried? (If not dead already!)

Good luck and the winner wins (plus S & H of course!

13, I won't be buried, I'll be cremated or more likely promessed (freeze dried and composted) since that is more environmentally friendly if it becomes legal here.

Alec would be great on Jeopardy! (If not American, a Long-running American knowledge TV show). Smart aleck wins the win again (plus S&H) - runner-ups go for # 6-10. Now qualifies for the Tournament of Champions!

13- I'm giving my body to the local medical school for the pure shock value to first-year medical students - guess they give me back in ashes to my son who can do whatever with them he wishes - toss em in the compost like hetismij2's noble take - hopefully here too that environmentally-friendly type of disposal will become legal though the funeral industry has a pretty good political lobby.

That's it - all solved in record time!

Victor Noir's life-size bronze reclining body gets me the most - women rubbing his genital parts so that they shine much brighter than the rest of the figure.

Congrats to MaineGG who as usual shines! Gets the runner-up prize - being named runner-up (plus S&H!)
