1. Lewis and Harris, Skye
2. Isle of Man for cats, and Gibraltar - but there is no such thing as a tailless monkey - they are apes.

Wow - only #10 left out

#3 OK but meant also the significant Roman ruins there.

Guillotine yes and also meat hooks some were tortured by dangling on them until dead. Nazi death prison:
