All above gay Paree! (When I used this title once for a potpourri article about Paris without the "n'est pas" in it - it was pointed out that Paris Pourri translated as "Paris stinks"!

1- Paris has three Tram lines - T-1; T-2; T-3 - generally where do they run - don't need specfic point to point but where are they?

2- These two Paris metro lines were built roughly following the course of the old Paris city walls - they uniquely for Paris feature stretches of track and several stations above ground - makes a lovely ride at night when the streets below are all lit!

3- Where in Paris can you see a shirt once owned by Elvia Presley?

4- Where can you see Faucault's original pendulum still swinging?

5- The famous short movie The Red Balloon was largely shot in which Paris district?

6- Where in the Paris area can you pay homage to Rin Tin Tin, the dog (his/her grave)?

7- Hector Guimand left his Art Nouveau stamp on what still prominent streetside features?

8- In recent decades Paris, to combat a doggie dropping epidemic on its sidewalks and streets came up with doggie toilets on the street - what are the called or nicknamed and why was this name used? (Play on words).

9- At Joinville-le-Pont, a near eastern suburb, there is a short cut between what two navigable rivers and how is it done (maybe the name Joinville comes from this?)?

10- There is an outdoor statue garden along the Seine - where is it?

1- The tram lines run along the peripherique connecting the various "Porte de X" stations

2- There's a line that runs east/west south of the Eiffel Tower and crossing the Seine that is above the ground.

5- Belleville, mostly in places torn down.

7- Metro station entrances?

9- Marne and Seine, by canal?

2. #6 is the line I was thinking of, I looked on a map.

# 4 Musee des Arts et Métiers? An exact copy in the Pantheon was taken down when we were there in October.

#9 - There is an underground canal that cuts the oxbow/loop in the Marne River. So it is only one river, not two.

2. The other above ground line I have also seen at Barbes, it's #2 (looked on a map).

Was sitting face down at Physiotherpay most of the morning.

I only knew 4 of them off the bat without looking at notes..

#10. This Sculpture Museum as you walk along the Seine is just before the de Sully Bridge and the most eastern tip of the Island of St. Louis,and along the Plant Gardens

I was there last year.

# 3 At the Hard Rock Café on Boulevard Montmartre.
I stayed three blocks away at the Opera House Marriott on Monmartre Boulvard.

The judges, subject to percy's nod, decided the answer to number 1 was too vague thouhg kind of right - they do not all connect Portes and at least a lot of one is well inside the Peripherique - not far from the Eiffel Tower.

Yes lines 2 and 6 follow the course of the ancient Paris town walls and in areas are both above ground! Some of the oldest lines some originally wanted to build an above ground metro but the costs were considerably higher than dig and covering and later tubes.

I used to know 10 bridges across the Seine in memory. Heavy on the used to know!! :)

I once walk from before the Statue of Liberty along the Seine...all the way past the de Sully Bridge.
Then crossed over the Seine and walked back....it took all day because you stop and look and eat also.

Actually, the Paris metropolitan area now has 8 tram lines: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 -- so I suspect that some of the questions are outdated.

Yes as I found out when I checked finally - I thought there were only the three older ones - 1 from near the Eiffel Tower area to La Defense; 1- Bobigny to St-Denis or so 1- the one along the Blvd Massens Pte Maillot to another Pte to the west - these three run inside Paris part way I believe none of the others do run inside the peripehrique?

Now I have five other tram lines - well 4 - the one by the SNCF is probably on an old railway?

Actually, the T1 tramway does not come into Paris at any time.
The T2 at least starts from Porte de Versailles, but most of it is an old SNCF commuter line that had been abandoned. The T3 (T3a and T3b) is the only "Parisian" tram line.

Yes I realized that just after posting - the first tram from St Denis area to Bobigny not inside the peripherique and 2 is not in Paris proper much. How did I miss the new trams lines?
