1- The is Museum of Modern Art and Outdoor Statue Park lovingly overlook the Ore Sound north of Copenhagen and south of Helsingor?

2- South of Krakow is a UNESCO World Heritage industrial site and a popular tour for tourists?

3- A great day trip from Vienna go to ?????, home of a famous old abbey, then by boat thru the gorgeous XXXXXXX Valley?

4- This city sits about 654 miles NW of Rome in Lazio - a marquee attraction is the Palazzo dei Papi or Papal Palace, the palace hosted the papacy for about two decades in the 13th-century, and served as a country residence or refuge in time of trouble in Rome. The columns of the palace are spolia from a Roman temple. What city is this?

5- SW of London not far from the coast is a famous castle that is home to the Dukes of Norfolk - if you take the train when you get off you will see this behemonth castle sitting high on a hill in the small town of the same name?

6- Champagne fans make a pilgrim to the city near Reims that is known as the capital of the Champagne indsutry - with the Cahmpagne Houses here generally being considered a bit better than those in Reims?

9- A popular day trip from Florence goes to this ancient town known for its many tall towers - not far from Siena.

10 - a popular day trip from Munich goes to one of 'Mad' Ludwig's fantasy castles - this one called the Bavarian Versalles and located on an island in the Chiemsee?

Pal--A question, not an answer to No. 4: "This city sits about 654 miles NW of Rome in Lazio." Either the distance or the reference to "in Lazio" is wrong.

Oops - this city sits about 65 miles NW of Rome - thanks - poor proofing on my part!

We need name for the salt mines

Avignon - wrong palace of the popes! But it could have been 645 miles NW of Rome so I guess we'd give credit whilst still searching for the correct Italian town.

7. Is that supposed to be Schwerin? A bit far for a day trip from Berlin. Or is it Potsdam? Then the palace does not have the same name.

7 - Yes Schwerin - maybe a bit far but I did it as a day trip from Berlin - but good point. Quokka as usual is right on about all things in Germany and Austria.
