euro/pound conversion...
am I figuring things correct?? Roughly one euro is the same as one US dollar?? And one pound is alittle over $1.50 ??
|
Roughly (actually pretty close) you are right.

GBP approx $1.56
euro approx $0.98

But they change a little day to day
|
yes you're right. I tend not to nitpic over cents when I'm converting, so I always reckon a dollar or a euro to be about 1.50 to the pound, give or take a few coppers either way.

Do you know how to make a euro?
Then you haven't been reading the postings over the weekend.....What a process we have gone through. Quite a hoot!! € €

As of 5:15 PM EDT on Aug 19, the rate of exchange was 1€ = .6392£
Of course when you exchange, the rate will be more expensive for you because you never get the bank wholesale rate unless you are a bank.
So how did you guys create the Euro symbol to post on Fodors ?

Here's Alt-0128 = ?
Here's cut and paste = ?

Is there another way ?
