Euro 2008, Europe's soccer/football championships, will be held in Austria and Switzerland this year. The games will take place in: Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt, Basel, Zürich, Bern and Geneva.

The specific match days are:
Vienna: June 8, 12, 16, 20, 22, 26 and 29. June 29 is the final match.
Salzburg: June 10, 14, 18
Innsbruck: June 10, 14, 18
Klagenfurt: June 8, 12, 16
Basel: June 7, 11, 15, 19, 21, 25
Zürich: June 9, 13, 17
Bern: June 9, 13, 17
Geneva: June 7, 11, 15

thanks so much for posting this. It had never occurred to me! It may well affect our travel plans for next year - no way I want to be in Vienna with a load of english football "fans".
