If you are talking about Verifly, they have agreements only with American Airlines, British Airways, Viking Cruises, Iberia Airlines, Aer Lingus, Japan Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, and the Malta Tourism Authority. Not with Delta. For Delta, you need your passport, your PLF QR code, your current negative vaccination test and CDC vaccine certificate. No documents need to be uploaded. Likely, you will be unable to check-in online and will have to provide the above documents to an agent at the airport to get your boarding pass.

Whitehall is completely correct, it is a nothing burger. However, it makes life easy if you do it online, and print it out. They need to see the QR code before you board.
For my flight, Delta called everyone on the flight down to the gate an hour before boarding and we had to go thru a line showing all of our documentation. I breezed thru in 2 minutes, because I had everything. Check the requirements for your airline to see what else you need to have and have it all together to make it easy for the airline.
Have a great time! Getting back to Italy felt FABULOUS
