Esperas or Oia Mare/Santorini

Hi all-
Can anyone tell me which is better: Oia Mare or Esperas. They both look great so I am not sure which one to book. Any thoughts would be helpful.

Also, has anyone stayed at Hotel Galini & Sophia on Naxos? Do you have any feedback?

Any help would be appreciated

We stayed at Esperas last spring and enjoyed it very much. I posted a trip report here:

We stayed at Oia Mare this past August and loved it! I haven't see Esperas so I can't compare. We loved the pool at Oia Mare along with the great view and location. Enjoy your trip!

Esperas is higher up the cliff in a more open spot off the edge of the cliff, not far from Oia Mare. Both have beautiful sunset views. Esperas has more of an unobstructed view of the caldera although both are partially blocked from the caldera by their position on the cliff.

Brother-

I really appreciate your travel advice. Do you live on one of the islands?

No, but I have lived in Oia for 6 months twice in the past as well as having stayed there for shorter periods of time.

If I had to choose it would be Esperas, but they're both excellent possibilities. As I've mentioned elsewhere there are fewer steps at Esperas, something to keep in mind if you have any leg, heart or lung problems.
