Ermioni to Nafplio
 

Has anyone traveled from Ermioni to Nafplio by KTEL bus in the last year? Does the bus leave from Ermioni's port? Or do you have to take a taxi to Kranidi to catch the bus? I will be taking the ferry from Piraeus to Ermioni in April. I also have the option of taking the ferry from Piraeus to Methana or Poros. Would it be easier to take the KTEL bus from one of these ports to Nafplio?

I have not taken this journey but I did research it (but in reverse, from Nafplio). My information is sketchy but happy to share what I found.

Ktel Corinth seems to be the bus company to use and their timetables are online (although short on information). I had to use it hand in hand with google maps as my knowledge of the area is not great. It did seem that it was hard to travel to Ermioni or Porto Heli directly without a change - and services were infrequent but it is possible. Of course, you also have to make the connection from ferry to bus and they weren't always convenient (I was hoping to travel to Hydra). Also take a look at rome2rio but it's important to click through to the transport provider's timetables as - especially in Greece and especially for less popular routes - timetables are not accurate to a particular date, time and journey.

If your destination is Nafplio, then I'd just take the bus from Piraeus or Athens (takes about 2hrs), for which timetables are easily found.

In the end, I decided to not travel that route, partly because services were infrequent but more because of time constraints and we've chosen to spend longer in Nafplio instead.

From Athens Kifissos InterCity bus station (departure point 36-37 for Argolida) KTEL InterCity buses travel direct to Kranidi,via Isthmia (Corinth Canal). The KTEL InterCity bus terminates at Taverna Lampis in Kranidi, opposite the Taxi rank in central Kranidi. Journey time from Athens Kifissos InterCity bus station to Kranidi is approximately 3.0 hours. Total bus journey time from Athens airport to Kranidi is a minimum of 4.0 hours. Kranidi is only 10 kms from Ermioni, approximately 12 minutes by road. A taxi from Kranidi to Ermioni will cost approximately 15 Euros.
