Good afternoon. Lucio
The Ergife Palace is located on the via Aurelia, 619. this is a short street just outside the walls of the Vatican City and it would be about two blocks to the Pza S. Pietro . It is a four star hotel and have not been able to locate any other information. might surf www.
hotelguide.ch/ or www.roma2000.it/ for additional informations.
Richard of Hickory Hills, Il.......
Lucio, We stayed at the Parco Tirreno Hotel on Via Aurelia 480 and do recall passing the Ergife Hotel. We noted on a map before we left on our trip that our hotel appeared to be close to the Vatican. It only looks that way, too far to walk. To get into the sights, either hop a bus or get a taxi. Via Aurelia is a very long road. Not too much in walking distance of our hotel except for a McDonalds. Go there, they have the best maps of Rome, and they're free. No purchase neccessary. Have fun.

Hi Lucio - I stayed at the Ergife in 1989. It was a grade a dump! Now I know it's been some years (and hence, have stayed in better hotels since then - thank god) but I would really investgate. The only good part about that place was that in the dead of summer it has a huge pool. Outside of that - NO AIR CONDITIONING! Trytyhe Hotel Manfredi instead on Via Margutta (around the corner from Piazza di Spagna). It doesn't have a pool, but the accommodations are ten times better and closer to attractions. And they have air-conditioning. Caio - Donna
