Enjoy Rome or Through Eternity walking tours of Rome

I'm trying to decide on taking a couple walking tours with either Enjoy Rome or Through Eternity. I would like to use Scala Reale, but they are twice as much. I know that a lot of people have posted good things about Enjoy Rome on this board, but I also saw that when Scala Reale is booked, they suggest Through Eternity, among others. Any recent experiences with either? Thanks!

Lisa, I took an evening tour with Enjoy Rome and was very please. The guide was very knowledgable. I did a couple of other tours offered by the Vatican Museums and the Colosseum and I thought they were pretty bad. I never used Through Eternity though.

Lisa: In early November we had a walking tour with EnjoyRome. Our guide was Inger, and American Art History graduate living in Rome and giving great and informative tours. Although I've not heard of Through Eternity and they may give perfectly fine tours, we (four adults) really felt that Enjoy Rome was quite a bargain for 3 hours at approximately $17 per person. I'd been to Rome before and thought that perhaps the tour would be a lot of repetition of guidebook info, but was pleasantly surprised at the depth of the info presented.

Mary Kay

We joined a Through Eternity twilight tour in Rome, and thoroughly enjoyed seeing the city with the enthusiastic and well-informed guide. Recommend them, and would go again.

Do these tour companies have web sites? Thanks, M.

I would like to suggest a company called Odyssey Tours who I found gave very interesting and informative tours. Their guides are very knowledgeable and can give you all sorts of information, historical and general. Their website address is www.odyssey-tours.com. Take a look!
