I just have to pop in and say the speed at which you travel is definately an individual thing. Before our trip to Scotland last month, many suggested that certain routes or days out were undoable ie:leaving Kelso, visiting Alnwick, Bamburgh, tantallon and dropping off our car in Edinburgh by 6 pm...was told too much-it was perfect for us and very easy. But whatever, everyone is different-I drive the same speed as the locals-which is saying a lot on 2 lane roads-and many Americans may not..to each his own-its good to have different perspectives!
