England cities between London and Wales
During our honeymoon in August, we were going to spend 4 days in London before taking the train to Wales (to take the ferry to Ireland). But I am also considering spending just 3 nights in London and 1 night in a location elsewhere. I'd like any suggestions for the best city to stay for 1 night somewhere between London and Wales. Thank you

If your boat is ftom Holyhead or Liverpool I suggest a night in Chester. If it is from Fishguard or Milford Haven I suggest Bath.

Welcome to the British Isles

Ben Haines, London
If you like used book stores, there's a town on the Welsh border called Hay-Upon-Wye, that has a downtown filled with used bookstores, rumored to be the largest used bookstore town in Europe... otherwise I'd recommend Bath, Glastonbury(be prepared for lots of hippie stores) or Shrewsbury (see the abbey there). Also nice is several Welsh towns, such as Caernarvon...

For Dr. Who fans, there is a Dr. Who museum in Wales on the coast...
