Merci beaucoup zebec for these stunning images, brought back happy memories of annual trips to France. Hopefully we’ll be back next year, in the meantime we await Part 2 of your voyage en France... Thanks again!

Every time I scroll through (since Fodor's does not make it easy to pick up where you left off), I am always pleased to see photos that I don't remember having properly appreciated the first time around.

kerouac, two lines below the thread title is the very handy "View first unread."

Because of this button I think Fodor's deserves to be nominated for the Nobel click prize. Other travel websites don't have this shortcut and I get very impatient when I have to scroll down and page down to get to something new. Yes, I'm spoiled.

I never trust "first unread" because even though something may have already appeared on my screen, I didn't necessarily pay attention.

Your photos are fantastic! I accidentally clicked on one and found out that you can view them full screen and scroll through them. Highly recommended. Thanks for taking the time to post your photo essay, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thx PG. Yes, clicking on all of our images reduces them to a more manageable size. I too found out by accident.

I wonder what Isabel's crepe-flipping cutie is up to today? Wouldn't it be interesting to try and track her down, like star photographer Steve McCurry once did with his famed NG mag cover girl from Afghanistan?
We once did that on the Greek isle of Folegandros, returning after a 22 year absence in 2014, to hand out portrait prints to folks there whose photos I'd once taken.

I am done. The Domke bag.

Thought that y'all might find the email exchange below amusing. It happened yesterday and was between Amandine, the lady who led that a capella troupe in Villefranche de Rouergue and myself. Mrs Z and I had been experiencing ongoing difficulty in trying to first locate and identify the troupe, then send them an email attachment with my photo portraits of them. My wife and I had first attempted to do so through both the original performance venue, Cafe Asso, plus the mayor's office earlier in the year. But finally, SUCCESS in finding them.

*First, my email to lead singer Amandine, after we'd finally been hooked up with the a capella troupe by manager Julie from Cafe Asso:

How would I recognize you?

feeder of birds

Toronto Canada'

*Amandine’s response (she’s second from left in the above Villefranche photo of the singers):

‘Bonsoir,

Amandine.’

I am done. The finally-relayed performance photos.
