emigrating with a 16 year old

Hi Im hoping to emigrate with my family to Australia but my 16 year old daughter is to a previous relationship. There is a contact order in place but as my daughter has got older she seems less and less involved with her father and is happy to go.
Do I need to apply to the courts or can I just get written concent as she is now 16?

Are you planning on leaving Albania- this is what your message is tagged?
Each country will have its own laws in answer to your question.

I think contacting a lawyer would be more appropriate than asking a bunch of strangers on a message board...

You should have all that information with your application for immigration. If not, ring the Australia Embassy in your home country and ask them. I doubt whether your daughter could come without the fathers permission if she is under 18. My sister had to get her ex husband's permission for her 17 year old when she moved to Australia.

Do you live IN Albania? (I sort of doubt it, but never mind).

Do you live in the States and want to move to Australia? (a possibility just from the syntax) If so where did Europe and Albania come from?

But in any case - this isn't the place to ask this sort of question. A family law attorney comes to mind(!) And the lawyer can then research and advise you what you need.
