Email just received from NWA: Los Angeles to London $254
I was amazed to receive an email announcing a NWA sale this morning that is really grand! Tickets must be purchased by Aug. 2, but if anyone has been planning a trip there are lots of good fares---New York to Hong Kong $431, Portland to Tokyo $325, etc. Happy planning!

I live in Minneapolis, so I am getting a lot of news about the strike. I think the reason they are having the specials is to counter the falloff in bookings by people who are afraid of the strike. I think people are pretty frozen in the positions and the airline and the mechanics are playing a game of chicken. If you decide to book, just try to avoid getting locked into other arrangements in case of cancellations and delays!
