Electrical Outlet help in France, Italy

I've read that american electronics uses lower voltage than in europe
and I know the plugs are different I've already bought some of those ^^
but I read that if I do not buy something to lower the voltage I could mess up something bad
so I was wondering would my laptop charger work in France and Italy without a converter or transformer, I'll provide a picture
thanks for the help!

here's a picture:

Yes, it will work. You need a 3 prong grounded plug adaptor for France and Italy.

Your Dell laptop cord is 240V rated- so laptop will work either charging or by electricity with adaptor- you can use the std 2 prong adapter on your USA 2 blade plug.

Any device that is up to 240v can be used in this manner. Some items also have a switch to change between 110v and 220v (maninly non electronic items)

Since the LA65NS-00 is 3 prong, you need a 3 prong adapter.
As the manual says: "Don't defeat the security features of your appliance". RTFM :-)

oh but my wall plug is only 2 pronged
so, it breaks all the rules lol

Hope you don't burn down your hut. :D

Since the LA65NS-00 is 3 prong, you need a 3 prong adapter.

In a perfect world I could not agree more with the above statement.

However, many electrical plug is France do not have the ground option. Furthermore, the conduit used in many buildings is non-metallic and not usable as a ground as is often the case with metallic conduit found elsewhere.

If you simply do not have a ground available, you can still power your computer using the two pronged adapter but the third metal (ground) stem on your computer's electrical plug will simply sit unattached on the out side edge of the adapter.

Two prongs will work, no problem.

@ sarastro my laptop plug is 2 pronged, not three, so there will be no hanging of my plugs at all
maybe i explained it wrong on my last reply, but yeah my plug is only two pronged :O lol

This is a two prong adaptor.

Which might not work in France and most of central and northern Europe, since it has "round edges". ;-)
Stupid design!!

This may give you an idea why it may not fit:

I know what you're thinking :D In case it doesn't fit, can I just remove these stupid plastic things inside the socket with a screwdriver and a hammer. :D
