Electrical adapters - France and Italy

Hi.

I will be travelling to France and Italy shortly. I searched guidebooks and both countries use a two-pin round-prong adaptor plugs...but are they the same? I can not distinguish by the pictures in the books. I already have ones that work in France from a previous trip. Do I need a different one for Italy?

Thanks!!

We've used the same adapter in both countries. The only time we had a problem was in France when we found a grounded outlet in our hotel room. The two prong adapter was supposed to work but didn't. Others must have had the same problem because our concierge had a desk drawer full of adapters and loaned us one for the length of our stay.

If you have a problem, check at the hotel desk. They can probably help you.
