Electric Converter
Can anyone suggest a good converter that will work in all the countries I'll be visiting on this trip? I'm going to Belgium, Holland, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Switzerland. Thank you.

It's VERY unlikely that you will need a converter--most electronics these days are dual-voltage. You will just need plug-adapters, which are cheap--get a few.

Do you mean a voltage transformer (they will all be on the standard European 200v) - in which case check the things you might want it for, as they may already be dual voltage - or just a plug adapter?

The listing for Argentina on that list is wrong/incomplete, as the outlets I came across were all "C" type.
Here a page I've used: http://www.worldstandards.eu/electri...gs-and-sockets |
The issue is whether you need a converter or an adapter. If you're seeking to use or recharge your various phones, ipads, computers, and other small electronics, the power packs they come with will almost certainly be dual voltage. This means check the power supply rating, which will likely tell you it is rated for 100v-240v or 110v-220v. That's dual voltage. If so, you only need an adapter.
Go to Amazon and check out the 5000 versions of adapters they have. A universal one or one with plugs for Northern Europe will work. The UK adapter will not. |
Yes, it's an adaptor I need. First time I'm actually bringing anything to plug in. Thank you all.
