after Orvieto, we have 2 nights before hitting Rome for final night prior to early am flight back to SF. Where to stay? Have been thinking of Elba, but not sure - does anyone have any suggestions between or around Orvieto and Rome - we have a car - 2 days worth - that they loved / (fyi - we're already doing Umbria/Tuscany for 10 days) We are completely open - Thanks for any help...

We spent three nights on Elba in July, staying at Villa Ottone and had a wonderful time. We left Portovenere (Cinque Terre area), drove south to ferry, and then on back end, drove into mainland Tuscany. A great beach component to a wonderful trip
