Elaine's files...

...where does she keep them all? And what's in them? So mysterious...

xxx Jun 12th, 2002 03:58 PM

I have often wondered if they are sales brochures for something.
You guys are way too paranoid. Elaine is a very nice person who keeps files of information on places she goes and offers to share them for people who are headed to those destinations. If you want one, simply ask her.

No way are they sales brochures and not the least mysterious. Elaine has gone to the trouble of cataloging lots of Paris websites plus her and other's opinions on restaurants, hotels, etc. Elaine very kindly sent me her lists for the trip I was preparing May 2001. It was so helpful. Wish I was that organized. Elaine is the kind of person we all need. Wish she did that for other countries. Elaine, do you? Thanks so much.

As far as I know, Elaine has always offered her files to anyone who wants them. She helped me tremendously on my recent trip to Italy and France. She's very generous to share all of that great information she compiles. Thanks Elaine!

No need to get defensive, I was only kidding about her "files." And no, I wasn't implying that they were sales brochures.

xxx, I read your post and managed a snicker at its humor. At the same time, I realized there would be a bevy of staunch literalists scrambling to defend Elaine's honor. Both are funny.

Duh Jun 12th, 2002 04:46 PM

Oh, that was humor. Thanks for letting us know.

Elaine sent me her London file - about 90 pages!!!- it was wonderful, anything you could want to know about London all in one shot. Better than guide books too since you have a 'real' travellers opinion...

sarah Jun 12th, 2002 05:36 PM

London file?? Now Elaine, you never told me about that one! I got the paris file which has been great--would love the London file as well if possible (don't want to be too greedy with ELaine's files --but they are very helpful).
merci
Sarah

I'd love to see Elaine's London file, but I'm afraid to post my real e-mail address here. Surely someone can post Elaine's e-mail address?! Thanks.

Myer Jun 12th, 2002 05:50 PM

I'm waiting for the movie.

local yokel Jun 12th, 2002 05:55 PM

Elaine has flies? Who knew!

elvira Jun 12th, 2002 05:55 PM

If you want Elaine's files, you do have to know the secret handshake (tricky in an email) and have a Buck Rogers decoder ring.

She's gone to the trouble to put a plethora of information on computer files so folks with lots of questions get it all in one swell foop.

xxx Jun 12th, 2002 06:03 PM

Can you believe this?

<<I'm afraid to post my real e-mail address here. Surely someone can post Elaine's e-mail address?!>>

What risk is it that you re unwilling to face, but more than happy to ask someone to subject Elaine to the same risk!
