Eiffel Tower View
Good Morning! I would appreciate some suggestions of a moderately priced restaurant with good views of the tower.

I find this most amusing that so many people consider restaurants with a view, rather like hotel rooms with views. A meal may last a few hours at the most, are views really that important?
Whilst one obviously does not wish to have unpleasant aspects, would one rather not select and eaterie on cuisine and price rather than the view? |
There's la Terrasse, at the Terrasse Hotel (18th); reserve for the restaurant panoramique specifically. Also the restaurant at the HÔtel Raphael on the terrace, which opens at the end of May. "R," in the 15th.

While I go to a restaurant based upon the quality and price of the food, view and ambiance, as well as presentation all contribute to sensations of the palete.
Had an excellent lunch at Altitude 95 on Valentine's Day, and a window table was a plus. ((b)) |
Hey budman,
Are you sure that Altitude 95 has a view of the Eiffel Tower? |
That's a good point ira. I was looking from the inside out and was changing the subject to just "view" based upon m_kingdom's post. Shame on me. ((a)) ((b))

Trixie,
You've incurred the rudeness known as M_kingdom. Don't let it keep you from asking questions. If you want to get back at him, though, tell him to have a nice day. He hates that. As for a restaurant with Eiffel Tower view, one that has been mentioned in a Paris top 10 hotels with a view list is: "Morot-Gaudry 6 rue de la Cavalerie, Paris 15th - métro: La Motte-Picquet Ph: 01.46.33.47.70 Nice view of the Eiffel tower from the 6th floor of a building." I don't know how expensive it is, but perhaps others on this board might know. Enjoy your trip. |
Or stop at a market or get take-out and picnic on the Champ de Mars. Hard to get a better view than that one.
