Eiffel Tower Post Office

Hi everyone,

I hope this is not an odd question. I'm going to the Eiffel Tower during nighttime when the post office will be closed. But I really want to have an Eiffel Tower cancellation stamp on my mail. Is there a mailbox for me to drop off my postcards and letters even though the post office is closed or should I go during daytime? Is there also a stamp vending machine, or should I buy them elsewhere before I ascend the tower?

Thank you.

We had our postcards hand-stamped while we were there during the day. I suspect that's the only way.

I did the same thing during the day. If I remember we had to put the postcards in envelopes for them to send. Was it the same for you?

Nope, no envelope in June 2001.

We were just there on Monday the 21st of June and Post Office closed at 6. I just barely got my cards mailed before closing. I did not notice if there was a machine for stamps and a box for dropping mail or not. Stamps are .90 each to mail postcard to USA.
