Eiffel Tower at night

I wish I knew I could have visited at the top at night!

We just happened to go at the end of the day when daylight turned to darkness, so we got to see Paris by day and then by night. Magical!

You can research the time the sun sets during your visit on line prior to your trip.

100% agree with Betsy. That's exactly when my friends and I went last September. It was absolutely fantastic.

They didn't do their research because the restaurant, Jules Verne has been closed for renovation after Ducasse took over.

Well congratulations if you manage to time your trip up the tower with sunset. I took my niece a few days ago and even in the evening, you"re lucky if you manage to time your arrival at the front of the queue to a time when the top floor is over (instead of it being closed for overcrowding). I hadn't been up for a very long time and will never do that again in summer.
And, the next time i see a post about the french not understanding queueing systems, I'll tell you all about the Spanish, Americans, Italians, Czech and everybody else who practically launched riots to get into the lifts next!
Seriously, visit Paris between October and March when the French are here but the rest of the world is not (or only in small quantities anyway).
