Eiffel Tower

Hello Everybody,
I was wondering how crowded are the ticket queues and elevator queues for the Eiffel Tower by 13-Sept. I'm visiting Paris for the first time with my husband on 10-Sept. I hope you can help me.

We just returned from Paris & the lines were very, very long. We chose not to wait in line. Instead we had a picnic dinner on Champ du Mars at night & saw the tower light up around 9:45PM. I recommend having a picnic lunch or dinner; it's a lot of fun & relaxing.

I don't think there's anything magical about the September 13 date. The lines will probably be as long as they are now. You can go to the top of the Arch of Triumph or Montparnasse Tower.

I've always found the lines to less long later in the afternoon.

The lines are always long, as others have said, no matter the day. Our son and girl friend went up at night and found the line not so long--and he proposed at the top.

The benefit of vtewing the city from someplace else is that you get to see the Eiffel Tower. The benefit of viewing from the Tour Montparnasse is that you don't see the TourMontparnasse.

We found the best time was to be there before the ticket booths open (9:00 am). Be there by 8:00 am.

All times are GMT -8. The time now is 03:02 AM.
