Editing a post after posting it.
Several people have asked for detailed instructions on how to change a post after it's been posted - so here goes:
Press your browser's "Back" button until it displays the Preview pane (not the editing window). Press "Edit." Make your changes, and hit "Post my message." This line was added using the above technique. |
I am trying this
did it work |
it worked
|
steviegene, it didn't change your first attempt -
Trying to see if this takes the place of my first post to steviegene |
Aha! It did.
Thanks Roby! It worked TWICE! That needs to be added to the board instructions. |
Very cool.
|
By the way - under certain conditions the Delete function at the Preview Window also works. So if you say something stupid (such as "steviegene, it didn't change your first attempt"), you might be able to go back and un-say it.

Yizzer all a crowd of frackkin cylons
|
Giving this a trry
|
Roby, take it back a notch.
Thanks for calling a post "stupid". Class act. BTW, both of steviegene's posts ARE still there. |
I am trying this again.
and it worked? |
Yep - Robes has posted something silly (dare I say stupid) a time or two and when called on it has deleted his misinformation. So he has made good use of this feature.
|
janisj, I think you can dare say "stupid" given that Roby called my post "stupid".
Which, I find interesting given my post is accurate. |
I must be stupid, I can't see the preview pane
OH, ok, I was trying on my post from yesterday, Thank you, Robespierre |

Testing this.

Actually it did work the first time, "did it work" was my edit.
But honestly who cares. Not a big deal. It works and thats that. (and you can erase your entire post as you can see I did above - cool.) |
It sure worked. Cool!
:D |
So that makes starrville's post...
