Thanks heaps.
Yes I've looked at apartments, B&B, Guesthouses and Hostels seem to be the cheapest.

Then I saw Melville Castle WELLLLLL too expensive for us but I can dream.

Back to reality. I will check out those sites. Thanks.
Rosie (dear) (is 50 that old LOL)

Back again.

I found edlets to have the most inexpensive. Barbara your suggestions was starting at 252 pounds a night; Knights Residence looks superb but out of my league. Will see how we go I tried the scottish site also.

Will check out the Travelodge.

Thanks again.

We stayed here in June and was great - and so wonderfully central. Don't know if the owner would do 2 nights - we did 5.

your daughter would have to sleep on the sofa bed - which was extremely comfortable as a sofa!

Edinburgh is a very pretty city.
You should stay in the old city, but avoid the seaside because it's far away for the center and cause it's an industrial harbour.

See my tips and my pictures :

Blitz your pics are lovely were they taken in Winter?

oopsy sorry Barbara I tink someone was advising a room under $250 anyway...

Ive booked The Sandaig at 110 pounds a night still pricey but it seems to be the nicest and closest I can find to the city.
