Thank you again. I'll look into the Scotsman and the Balmoral. If they're too high I'll check the Apex. My friend who is traveling with me thinks that her husband has a Corporate rate with Radisson so we should check it as well. In the States, Radisson hotels are average to below average. Is is different in the UK?

Whilst The Radisson in Edinburgh it is a notch down from the Balmoral and the Scotsman, it's a really nice hotel, and right on the Royal Mile.
My experience of Radisson's has always been good (I prefer them to Marriott) but they can vary from place to place. |
Definately look into 16 Lynedoch Place. Its in New Town and a very short walk to Princes Street. The house is lovely and breakfast is wonderful. We stayed there our first 2 nights in Edinburgh, travelled a bit around Scotland and spent our last night further north (requiring a bus ride to get to New Town). Although the last place was very nice and the bus servive quick and convenient we MUCH preffered being within walking distance of Princes Street.

I stayed in the Crowne Plaza a couple of years ago, on the Royal Mile, lovely hotel in awesome location.

Recently stayed four nights at the Scotsman on N. Bridge Street, 100 paces off the High Street ... about $500 per night. Very modest, nice staff and acommodations. Good concierge services as well.

What was the Crowne Plaza on the Royal Mile is now the Radisson.
