Edinburgh Car Service

We are staying on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh and have an early flight to the airport. I would rather use a car service than walk in the dark to the airlink. Does anyone have the name of a reliable car service they have used? Thanks! About how much do they charge?

I think you find that is called a taxi.

Any cab will do. But when are you traveling? If in summer -- it won't be dark no matter how early the flight . . .

You could pre-book a taxi but it's unlikely to cost you much less than hailing one on the street.

Thank you for your responses. I do know the difference between a car service and a taxi. I just did not want to try and hail a taxi at 4AM..thought someone had used a private car service. Thanks anyway

you really don't need a car service in Edinburgh -- Not the same as London for example, where a car service makes most sense.

As I mentioned, if your main concern is it being dark (and IF you are traveling in the next month) - won't be an issue. Sunrise will be about 04:30 and it is light well before that.

You can book a cab to come and get you at any time. The service I use is 0131 272 8000
