Edinburgh and Skye in 8 nights?
Hi everybody,
I'd like to spend 4 nights in Edinburgh and 4 nights on the isle of Skye as part of a trip I'm planning and I was wondering if I'm spending enough time in each place.
I'm mostly interested in strolling in Edinburgh (perhaps visit Loch Ness as a day trip) and biking and doing some trekking on Skye.
Thanks.

Thanks Carolina.
By the way, how can I get from Edinburgh to Skye on public transportation? A combiantion of train and bus?
I guess I'll be spending 9 nights after all because I need to get back and spend an extra night in Edinburgh in order to leave Scotland the following day. At the beginning, I thought of spending just 3 nights on Skye, but then I started wondering if it wasn't going to be rushed for hiking and biking.
Thanks again.

Check out Citylink for bus service. Me I would take the train to either Mallaig vis Glasgow and fort William or via Inverness to Kyle of Lochash. I know that you can get the bus from Kyle of Lochalsh to places on Skye.
