Edinburgh accomodation. !st experience of airbnb.

Just returned from a weekend in Edinburgh where we looked for somewhere to stay for 6.
Slightly concerned on reading some of the comments on airbnb on this site.
Reassured by finding
1. That the money is not paid over until after we arrive and so getting rid of the danger of the property not existing and
2. Feedback- so you can make up your own mind about it.
We stayed very close to Pollock University Halls. It was 20 mins walk from the forecourt of the castle( we know because we made that exact journey). There was a bus stop outside the door but we only caught the bus once.
My daughter arrived before us and when she met us off the train said she wanted to buy the house it was so nice!
It was absolutely lovely! Had three bedrooms for 6 so no put-you ups. Gorgeous bathroom. Highly recommended.
We paid for the house per night the same as we would have paid for a double room in the Novotel out of town- £100.
