Edinburgh accommodation--yes or no?

The wonderful people on these forums have been instrumental in my decisions on apartment rentals for my family of four (husband and i, two daugters ages 16 and 11) during our 4-week visit to london, paris & barcelona this July. In addition to one week in each of the mentioned cities, we will be spending 3 nights in Edinburgh then 2 nights in Cambridge before heading to Paris. Understandably at this late date and during such popular travel time, there are very few good choices of accommodations in Edinburgh. With such limited time there, I feel that proximity to the main sights (castle, royal mile/old town, princes street/new town. Last night i found a place that made me feel I had struck gold. It's much smaller than what I had been searching for, but its location seems ideal and it certainly had a tremendous amount of character both in the studio itself and its location. I figure we can be "cozy" for just a few nights & live with one shower particularly since we will spend 75% of our too short of time there (wishing i had allowed at least one more night in edinburgh, but too late now) seeing all we want to see rather than sitting in our room. I have attached the link to the apartment which includes photos and description and gives a link to a specific map location. Once again your input on this decision is invaluable. Thank you soooo much for all your help! Sincerely, "ms. Eternally grateful Terri"

Oops, failed to finish the sentence saying that "I feel proximity to the main sights is very important.

great location and the Jolly judge pub is an Edinburgh institution,i'd go for that. you can walk to the castle in 2 or 3 minutes, lots of other good pubs nearby, the Deacon Brodie has a good upstairs resturant.
