Edinburgh

I'm going to Scotland next week. Any suggestions from anyone? This is my first trip there.

I don't mean to be rude, but you ask a very vague question. It's hard to believe you've spent your hard-earned cash on travel to Edinburgh but have done NO research at all... You could start with a basic search on this forum or search for the Ediburgh and Lothians Tourist Board on the web.

Pete, forgive me for presenting such a vague question--this is my first time in the Lounge and I messed up. I rewrote my question later because I too noticed the faux pas. We've read everything we can read in the encyclopedia and from the library. I am wondering why you bothered to read such a vague title?

I have a great cafeteria for you..it's in the museum on Queen street, a couple of blocks north of Price's Street..wonderful healthy food (1997) and reasonable. I found my main issue with GB was finding healthy inexpensive food. This place was a god send! I think it was called the National Portrait Museum, which details the history of the Scottish crown. Unsure though, I saw so many museums over there. It IS on Queen's Street tho! <BR>

Ok here it is - It is called the National Portrait Gallery on Queen's Street. I also found a web site for you www.activitypoint.co.uk detiling things to do in Scotland..Happy Haggising...
