Am looking for B&B in Edinburgh, maybe up to five days. Wann be there for the New Year.

Mahalo
Em
[email protected] om

We liked Joppa Turrets (Note: name = Turrets NOT Towers).
Their website is:
www.joppaturrets.demon.co.uk
They are reasonably priced, nice location - all rooms have view of Firth of Forth. About a 10-15 minute bus ride from centre of Edinburgh (Buses are VERY frequent.) If you want to be in Edinburgh for New Years I would book SOON - it is a VERY popular holiday there and lots of B&Bs are booked up well in advance.

I live in Edinburgh, and I'd definitely second that you should book VERY SOON, as there is such a huge demand over New Year. For information on how to get tickets for the New Year festivities, check out http://www.edinburghshogmanay.org/

Have fun!

We've stayed at the Dunedin Guest House our last three times in Edinburgh and absolutely love it! Found it through Rick Steves, (sorry, Fodorites). Marsella and David are the owners and it's a beautiful stone home with big bedrooms (with baths) and great breakfast included. I understand they have a new Web site, but I don't know the address. The e-mail is
[email protected]. The prices are extremely reasonable, but I agree with the above poster--New Year's is a big deal in Edinburgh, so you need to book quickly. If Marsella can't accomodate you, ask her to recommend someone who can--she's wonderful and will probably be happy to help you.

have a great time!

we love it...try Bar Java on Constitution Street in Leith...pub with rooms, quite reasonable, great staff and breakfast, right on the bus route.

web at www.java-bedandbreakfast.com
