Please let us know if you bought them and the price (and if you did, then in due course let is know whether they were genuine and unused).

I didn't think it would be 'ridiculous' if you bought 19 tickets at, say, $25US... that's about 0.85€/ticket.

I didn't buy them, though, as we try to plan our dates to coincide with C.O.

I did buy 30€ cash for about $36US, incl. the ship fee this spring.

Are they mauve or white? According to RATP the mauve tickets are/were being phased out from 1 July 2007 over a period of "several months" but the website doesn't give a definitive end date for the mauve ones to be still valid.

All old metro tickets remain valid, as long as they date from the time of magnetic strips on the back.

I didn't go back and see what the tickets went for... but they were white, not a color.

"the website doesn't give a definitive end date for the mauve ones to be still valid."

Last time I was in Paris (in April) I tried using a couple of unused mauve tickets I'd found lying around at home, but they were rejected by the metro turnstile.

Then they were demagnetized. Even the first series of yellow tickets still works in the turnstiles.
