I didn't think it would be 'ridiculous' if you bought 19 tickets at, say, $25US... that's about 0.85€/ticket.
I didn't buy them, though, as we try to plan our dates to coincide with C.O.
I did buy 30€ cash for about $36US, incl. the ship fee this spring.

Are they mauve or white? According to RATP the mauve tickets are/were being phased out from 1 July 2007 over a period of "several months" but the website doesn't give a definitive end date for the mauve ones to be still valid.

Last time I was in Paris (in April) I tried using a couple of unused mauve tickets I'd found lying around at home, but they were rejected by the metro turnstile.
