has anyone heard of the new market place in Rome Eatitaly? if so where is it.

Eataly started as an upscale multitasking Italian food destination store in New York City. It has since expanded to Italy, where it has inserted itaelf as a sort of substitute for going from shop to shop for various specialties in the Italian way.

As far as I know, it started in Turin (yesterday I visited the main shop there).

asps is correct that EATALY has it's roots in Turin/Torino.Turin.. It came to NYC three years ago.
