Hello

Just wondering. I am thinking of going to Cedeira for the sole purpose of feasting on percebes. Good idea or no? Thanks

cake... why there are plenty of places to eat them in Galicia or are you going during the festival?

Ribeirasacra,

I am a bit crazy about my food- especially seafood and will go to the end of the earth to find them. For example in Spain I went to Isla Cristina for -in my opinion at least-the best gambas blancas and to Sanlucar de Barrameda for fabulous langostinos.
I hear that Cedeira is where you can find the best percebes. I also have been to Galicia a few times and would like now to discover the lesser-known towns. Which I suppose the two reasons coupled together is why I am thinking of going to Cedeira. Do you think I am wasting my time there? I am thinking of mid-February.

If you are passing then you should go, it has what is said to be the highest sea cliffs in Europe, The fishing port is small but I do know that you will be able to get Percebe all along the coast. The festival in Cedeira, which celebrates the Percebe is in July. May that is why you have heard they are good in the town? However I have to say the town of Ferrol is not a real tourist spot, it is a mainly military port.
The area known as PARQUE NATURAL LAS FRAGAS DEL EUME is really nice. (this is just to the south of Ferrol).
