Eating in Nice (France)

Hello Everybody,

I will go to Nice from Milano and will ariive there at Night-time.

Can you tell me whether the Supermarket or Cheaper Restaurant will still be open at about 10pm ?

Any good Restautant that you will suggest ?

Thanks.

You could look up Monoprix online and check their hours for Nice locations. They are a large supermarket chain. There will be other small supermarkets about, I would assume some would shut late. We mostly ate in the Old Town in Nice but don't know how late the kitchens stay open. You should be able to get something around the train station, even if it's take away.

You could ask your hotel if there is somewhere nearby to get a meal late at night.

Where will you be staying in Nice? (so that we might be able to suggest ones nearby). Monoprix should close by 21h00 ( I know 2 of them in Nice central) and most other supermarkets the same or earlier. And Sunday closed or open only in the morning. Some small family-run "épiceries" kind of shops can be open late.

There are Pizza-kebab sort of eat-in/take away places (cheap) open. I see some of such in the old town area. But it depends on where you will be staying. You may prefer a place nearby.

Flunch is open until 2200. They serve cafeteria style food and can often be very good value. Check to see if there is one near you as they are a chain.

10pm = 22hrs

There was a Flunch just by the Nice Railway station. Is it still there?

eurocheapo.com/nice great suggestions for you.
Monoprix open late good Kebob shops everywhere
makes for a great cheap meal. Many super nice places
along the Promenade around the Negresco for something
special at a higher price head there.

With the way Qwo wrotes, not sure whether "open late" is for Monoprix or for kebab places. But as I wrote Monoprix closes at 21h00 at the latest.

The Monoprix on Jean Medecin closes at 2100 as kappa states. If all else fails, there's always McDonalds.

There are a couple epiceries open late in the Vieux Nice, but all of the other large shops close before 21:00. Most restaurants are open late, but have Nice price tags.. however, if you wander around Vieux Nice, there are plenty of kebab and pizza places that are cheap and decent.

Hi, we reach Nice on a Sunday evening, will there be any supermarkets/restaurants open? We will be staying in the Grimaldi area in the Le Grimaldi apt it would be good to know in advance since we can't really ask the concierge! Thanks.
