Congratulations, Luther! We're still on our first, and only, date...and it's going on 28 years now-- but we weren't as young as you two, obviously! Ain't love grand?!

What area of Paris will be you be staying in? I bet folks can come up with some inexpensive romantic picnic/dining suggestions for you.

Congrats! How lovely! I just want to say that my favorite travel book for Paris is the DK Eyewitness Travel Guide. (I took my adult daughter to Paris last year, our first time!)

Also, we stayed at the greatest, but really inexpensive place. And it was very clean! (The bathroom was huge for European standards!)

It was only 110 Euros per night. And it is right across the street from Notre Dame Cathedral on the Ile de la Cite! You cannot beat it for location or price. It is part of the oldest hospital in Paris. Yes, they changed this section on the top floor to a boutique hotel, to help them pay for their indigent patients. It was unique and awesome! The bells of Notre Dame woke us in the morning! So, if you haven't booked yet, please check this out!

Bon voyage!

There is a wonderful little park just across the street from the Bon Marche. Pick up all the yummy food/drink you want from the Epicurian and take it across the street. There are benches etc and enjoy watching the locals and the children play, etc. I wish I were there now!
