EasyJet seating?
 

I know there isn't any assigned seating for EasyJet, but I'm flying flight 704 from Edinburgh to London Gatwick and back on flight 711 in August. Seatguru.com doesn't show configurations for EasyJet flights, such as what kind of plane it will be, etc. Are there any web sites that do?

EasyJet basically use two types of aircraft, either Boeing 737-700/800 or Airbus A319/A320. Both are configured 3 x 3. There are some exit-row seats with extra legroom, but of course you can't reserve them and you may be disqualified from sitting there by the judgement of cabin crew (e.g. not considered fit or strong enough to operate emergency door). Also you won't be able to leave any luggage, even a handbag, on the floor but must put it in overhead bin.

I tried the EJ site and got nowhere.
I am not sure that it matters because unless you pay extra for first boarding rights, the best seats will be gone anyhow.

The 2nd best seats will go to those in what was called group A the last time I flew EJ (last September).

The group assignment is based on time of check-in. Then you go cattle style to the airplane and hunt for a seat.

Be aware that nothing is given to passengers on EJ; you pay for drinks and eats.

I flew one year from Geneva to Gatwick. I had spent all my euro and Swiss money and had only US dollars. These were not acceptable, only pounds, chf and euro. I was de facto flat broke.

After I got to Gatwick I found a Barclays bankomat and remedied the money situation.

I ordered the tickets and did not get the early check-in or insurance. I'm only staying one night, so I plan on taking a backpack and no other luggage. As far as the seating, it doesn't really matter all that much since it's a short flight, and I'm not quite 5' tall so leg room and such isn't important, but I was curious if I'd be on a puddle-jumper or not! ;)

People choose seats for many reasons therefore the "best seats" for you might not be taken by those who paid extra.

The plane won't be particularly small, and for such a short flight, it isn't worth paying extra for priority seating.

When I flew on Easyjet last year boarding was done from the front and back of the plane. We flew Rome to Paris and the flight to Rome was a chaotic boarding while the Paris to Rome flight was more orderly. Both ways the flights were fine and the flight attendants pleasant.
