EasyJet question
 

I'm trying to find the least expensive way to get to Paris in the beginning of Sept (still considered high-season)... I thought about flying into London and then taking easyjet to Paris - but does anyone know if I can purchase tickets from EasyJet if I'm not a resident in Europe?

Sure. You do it right online and it couldn't be easier. What's more you download the ticket right there and that's all you need.

However Easyjet does not serve London Heathrow; to get to Paris you need to travel to Luton airport by bus or car. Given the time and cost involved, be careful that you're not using up the "savings" on the longhaul flight.

BMI, on the other hand, does serve LHR-CDG, price can be as low as around £50 with tax, i.e. US$90 give or take. www.flybmi.com

I think Gardyloo gives good advice. Check the fare on easyjet (www.easyjet.com/en) first and then check the other airlines....the hassle of transferring from one airport to another may not be worth it.

I'll share my 2 cents worth as I have just completed travel plans that examined all aspects of getting to Paris from London.
With the help of many on this board I finalised travel that starts from LGW.
as we arr.at 06:30 and continue by Thameslink train to London Bridge change to South East train to Waterloo East and walk to Waterloo International for train #9018 at 10:39am arr. Gare du Nord 14:17.
Bought Leisure 1Day returns as they were the cheapest that would allow travel before 11am and use only outbound portion.
Contrary to some that post here RailEurope was cheaper than what I could find on Eurostar and total price included mailing and reservation delivered to my home.
I spent a lot of time using a variety of departure spots including Luton, Stansted,Heathrow and this was the easiest and suited our schedule.
As Gatwick was not included in other posts, now you have a bigger picture to hopefully arrive at what suits your travel plans.

Check BMI at flybmi.com. They go from Heathrow and prices are competitive with EasyJet. Times are a bit better and services more frequent as well, I think.

EasyJet is a good airline - don't worry about taking it because the fares are low. It doesn't mean poor service or a puddlejumper.
